Adaptation Plan

1.      Speaking directly to members of the audience: I will try to make eye contact with the audience to show I am talking to them directly. I will also use personal pronouns.

2.      Building credibility: I will tell when I stepped into this field, how I learned this skill, and I will show some of my works. I will also cite from my sources.

3.      Getting and maintaining interest: I will show some beautiful computer graphs to catch audience's eyes at first. I believe they will be interested if drawing a computer graph only requires three steps.

4.      Facilitating understanding: I will go deep into each step, and I will visual aids to explain the details.

5.      Increasing retention: Using visual aids may help retention. I will also repeat the steps in conclusion.

 

Speech Outline

Specific Goal: I would like my audience to know the basic steps in drawing a computer graph and understand that drawing a computer graph is not a hard task.

Introduction

I.        Do you admire those vivid pictures? Have you ever thought to draw one by yourself?

II.     I have made about twenty works during my high school life.

III.   Having years of experience in this field, I'd like to tell you some simple steps in drawing a computer graph.

Thesis Statement: A website named "CG 教室" concludes three basic steps, they are tools preparation, sketch separating, and painting.

Body

I.        The first step is very important because you cannot draw a CG without a computer and related software and hardware.

A.     You can either use Adobe PhotoShop or Corel Painter.

B.     A graphic table is required for a professional painter, while a scanner is good enough for amateur.

(Having prepared those equipments, we can move onto the second step.)

II.     You can either input your subject by a scanner or a graphic tablet.

A.     Separate the lines from the original sketch onto a layer.

B.     Make your subject more clearly by erasing those unorganized lines or strengthening the main line.

(Having got the main line layer accomplished, we can move onto the final step.)

III.   Paint different parts on different layers.

A.     Add the contrast between light and shadow can make the picture more vivid.

B.     Connect related layers when adding contrasts.

C.     Save as a jpeg data with background or save as a gif data without backgrounda computer graph is accomplished.

Conclusion

I.        The three basic steps in drawing a computer graph are preparing tools, processing the main line, and painting.
