Topic: The Beauty of Taiwan. Have you seen?

My proposition: I want to convince my audience that traveling in Taiwan is a wonderful choice for the coming winter vacation.

Adaptation Plan

Audience analysis: The audience is a group of teenagers who look forward to the coming of winter vacation and eager to have a perfect plan for the vacation. Some of them might want to go abroad.

Background knowledge: When a long-term vacation is coming, my classmate and I are look forward to travel. However, I found most people consider traveling abroad is more attractive to them than traveling in Taiwan.

Creating and maintaining interest: First of all, I will show a governmental static about the percentage of traveling abroad and Taiwan. And then I will show them it is also interesting to stay in Taiwan by introducing them some hot spots in Taiwan. With my introduction and those vivid pictures, I believe the audience's interest will be aroused.

Organization: The organizational pattern of my speech is the statement of reasons and comparative advantages.

Building credibility: I will search some governmental static about traveling and then search lots of spectacular pictures and describe those sites vividly to enhance the beauty of Taiwan.

Motivation: The winter vacation is coming, I am one of the excited student who eager to take a trip. Many of my classmates plan to go overseas to spend their free time; however, there are also lots of people cannot go abroad. Therefore, I want to show everyone it is also wonderful to stay in Taiwan, even better.

Outline

Speech Goal: I want to persuade my audience that traveling in Taiwan is also a wonderful choice for this winter vacation.

Introduction:

I.                    A governmental static shows that more and more Taiwanese traveling abroad these years.

II.                 There are many famous hot spots in Taiwan where lots of foreigners come to visit but we Taiwanese ignore those beautiful sceneries.

III.               There are also advantages of traveling in Taiwan.

Thesis Statement: As the winter vacation is coming, many people will have plenty of choices to spend their free time. Most of them might want to travel abroad with family or friends, however, I want to convince them to stay in this beautiful island, seize this chance to be closer to our mother town.

Body:

I.                   According to a governmental traveling static, the amount of foreign visitors coming Taiwan is increasing about five percent than last year. On the other hand, the amount of Taiwanese people who traveling abroad increase about three percent. This shows that people in Taiwan seems to prefer going overseas than before.

II.                There are many hot spots in Taiwan where the foreigners eager to come but we didn't notice.

A.            Northern Taiwan: Where Ancient and Modern Coexist. Taiwan's "economic miracle" has modernized Taipei, but the city still maintains traditional lifestyles, making it a fascinating destination for visitors. (Introduction of hot spots)

B.            Central Taiwan: Cliffs, Clouds, and Cataracts. Central Taiwan displays the full range of the island's beauty: mountain lakes and shining seas, roaring rivers and steaming hot springs, lofty snow-capped peaks and lush tropical valleys, and emerald forests and craggy ravines. (Introduction of hot spots)

C.            Southern Taiwan: Bucolic Scenes from the Past. Southern Taiwan is a study in contrasts. Bustling modern cities with all the latest amenities are surrounded by the pastoral panorama of old Taiwan. (Introduction of hot spots)

D.            Eastern Taiwan: Unspoiled Natural Beauty. Eastern Taiwan has some of the island's most beautiful and accessible attractions. (Introduction of hot spots)

III.             There are many advantages of traveling in Taiwan.

A.            First of all, it can save you lots of money because you don't need to take a flight.

B.            Second, you don't have to be worry about the difficulty o f conversation.

C.            Third, it is safe to traveling in Taiwan because without the language differences you can find someone to help you whenever you need.

D.            Forth, Taiwanese are passionate and friendly, it is convenient to get information from local villagers, furthermore, you might get a free meal and make lot of friends.

Conclusion: After all, I don't think the moon abroad is brighter than Taiwan. We live here so we should not ignore the beauty of our mother town. Staying in Taiwan this winter vacation might be a wonderful decision which beyond your expectation!
